Cash-Pay Weight Loss in Texas: Every Price Published Before You Book

Medically reviewed by Jeff Beaty, DO, Board-Certified Emergency Medicine, Certified in Peptide Medicine (A4M)

Here is the number most weight loss programs make you call to find out: $129. That is the initial consultation for our Metabolic Correction (GLP-1) program. Follow-ups are $99. Labs start at $99. Medication is billed separately at pass-through pharmacy pricing and quoted to you before anything is prescribed. That is the model. The rest of this page explains why it works in your favor.

If you searched for a cash-pay weight loss doctor in Texas, you have probably already run into the two standard alternatives: an insurance process that decides whether you qualify on its schedule, or a subscription app that hides the real cost inside a bundle. Cash-pay done properly is the third option, and it is not a downgrade. It is the only version where you see the whole bill before you owe any of it.

What Cash-Pay Actually Means, and What It Does Not

Cash-pay means you pay the published price directly, and no third party sits between you and your provider. That removes an entire layer most patients only discover mid-treatment: prior authorization requirements, coverage that varies plan to plan, denials that can arrive after care has started, and bills that show up weeks later at numbers nobody quoted. Insurance can work well for many kinds of care. For medical weight loss it often adds gatekeeping and uncertainty without adding medicine.

Cash-pay does not mean unregulated, and it does not mean cheap-by-cutting-corners. You still see a licensed provider. Labs still come first. Prescriptions still go through regulated US pharmacies. The difference is purely in the billing: one published price list, no intermediary, no surprise line items.

Two practical notes worth stating plainly. First, cash-pay keeps your treatment off an insurance record, which some patients value. Second, we provide superbills, so if you have an HSA or FSA you can seek reimbursement with your own funds on your own terms.

What Is Cash-Pay Medical Weight Loss?

Cash-pay medical weight loss is physician-supervised weight loss care, delivered at published prices paid directly by the patient instead of through insurance. A legitimate cash-pay program includes lab work before prescribing, consultations with a provider licensed in your state, and medication from regulated US pharmacies, with every cost quoted before you commit. The trade is simple: you give up the possibility of insurance coverage and get certainty, speed, and privacy in return.

How the Program Works in Texas

We are not a wellness spa. We are a precision medical practice. The process reflects that, and every step below has its price attached.

Step 1: Labs First

Treatment starts with measurement. Panels start at $99, are ordered during your consultation, and the panel price is your only lab cost: the Quest draw is included, and provider review of your results is included. Quest handles draws statewide, so there is a location near you whether you are in Houston, El Paso, or Amarillo. You also receive your raw results directly from Quest, in addition to your provider’s walkthrough. Details on every panel are on our lab testing page. Already have recent lab work? Bring it. We use recent labs rather than charging you to re-test.

Step 2: A 30-Minute Consultation With a Licensed Texas Provider

Your initial visit is about 30 minutes, one-on-one, online, with a provider licensed in Texas. Evening and weekend slots are available, and every visit happens from wherever you are. This is a medical evaluation, not a checkout flow: your history, your prior attempts, and your labs all get discussed, because they change what a responsible plan looks like.

Step 3: A Plan With a Quoted Price

If your provider determines that GLP-1 class medication is medically appropriate, the medication is billed separately at pass-through pharmacy pricing, and the exact cost is quoted to you before anything is prescribed. You approve the number first. No bundle, no markup hidden in a membership, no bill you did not see coming.

Step 4: Follow-Ups at $99

Follow-up visits are $99 and usually run about 15 minutes. Your provider tracks your labs and your response and adjusts the plan as you go. If you need a prescription refill between scheduled appointments, that carries a flat $10 prescription charge, and now you know about it, because that is the point of this page.

Patient reviewing published telehealth weight loss prices at a kitchen table before booking

Your first month, in full. Three components, no fourth hiding anywhere. The consultation: $129. Labs: from $99, or $0 if you bring recent lab work we can use. Medication, if prescribed: billed separately at pass-through pharmacy pricing and quoted to you for approval before it is filled. Using the base panel, that is $228 to New Genesis Vitality in your first month, plus a medication cost you will have seen and approved in advance. After the first month, the recurring clinic cost is the $99 follow-up visit. Full details are on our pricing page.

One more disclosure, because complete means complete: if you and your provider later add peptide therapy protocols alongside the weight loss program, that care is billed at the regular Advanced Peptide consultation fees of $199 initial and $149 follow-up. You can read how that category of care works on our online peptide therapy page.

Straight Answers

Is cash pay cheaper than insurance for weight loss treatment?

For many patients, yes, and it is more predictable for nearly all of them. Insurance coverage for weight loss medication varies widely by plan, often requires prior authorization, and can be denied or reversed, which leaves patients paying out of pocket anyway, at prices they never saw in advance. With cash-pay, the consultation is $129, follow-ups are $99, labs start at $99, and medication is quoted before prescribing. Whether that beats your specific plan depends on your coverage, but it never surprises you.

What is physician supervised weight loss and how is it different from an app?

Physician-supervised weight loss is medical care: lab work first, a diagnosis-driven plan from a licensed provider, prescriptions only where medically appropriate, and follow-ups that adjust treatment based on your labs and your response. A weight loss app sells you content and, in some cases, a fast path to a prescription with minimal evaluation. The difference shows up when something needs adjusting: an app has a help desk, a medical practice has your provider, your history, and your lab results.

What does the first month of cash-pay medical weight loss cost in Texas?

$228 in clinic fees using the base lab panel: a $129 initial consultation plus a $99 lab panel, with medication billed separately at pass-through pharmacy pricing and quoted to you before it is prescribed. If you bring recent labs we can use, the first-month clinic cost is the $129 consultation. There is no membership fee and no charge you have not seen on this page or the pricing page.

Can I use HSA or FSA funds for online weight loss treatment?

In many cases, yes. We are a cash-pay practice and provide superbills, which you can submit for HSA or FSA reimbursement under your account’s rules. Your plan administrator makes the final call on eligibility, so check with them, but the documentation you need is standard with us, not a special request.

Are there any fees that are not published?

No, and here is the complete list so you can hold us to it. Consultations: $129 initial, $99 follow-up for the GLP-1 program. Labs: from $99, draw and provider review included. Medication: pass-through pharmacy pricing, quoted before prescribing. Refills between scheduled appointments: $10. Adding peptide therapy protocols later: $199 initial, $149 follow-up for that care. That is everything.

The Price Was the First Thing on This Page

That was deliberate. A program that makes you sit through a sales call to learn the cost has already told you how it plans to treat you. Ours is the opposite bet: publish everything, quote the medication before prescribing, and let the model compete on its merits.

If the numbers work for you, the next step is a 30-minute consultation with a licensed Texas provider, evenings and weekends included. Book a consultation when you are ready. Bring your questions and your recent labs if you have them. Both save you money.
