Lab Testing in Texas: Statewide Quest Draws, Explained by Your Own Provider

Medically reviewed by Brad Wasson, DO, Board-Certified Family Medicine, Longevity Specialist

Everything in Texas is far from something. The specialist is two counties over, the good hospital is an hour up the interstate, and somewhere along the way most Texans learned to put off the bloodwork until the distance felt worth it. New Genesis Vitality’s lab program removes that math: a Texas-licensed provider orders your comprehensive, cash-pay panel during a telehealth visit, prices start at $99, the draw happens at whichever Quest location fits your week, and the clinician who placed the order is the one who walks you through the results. Where you live in Texas changes which Quest site you use. It changes nothing else.

How a Texas Lab Order Happens

Telehealth is established, regulated medical practice in Texas, and the physicians who treat Texas patients here answer to the Texas Medical Board, whose complaint contact sits in the footer of every page on this site. Lab testing at New Genesis Vitality lives inside that accountability, which is why you cannot buy a panel here the way you would buy anything else online: a licensed provider chooses your tests, and a licensed provider reads them.

  1. Schedule a telehealth consultation: a video visit you can join wherever in Texas you happen to be.
  2. Your provider selects the panel during the visit, matched to your goals and history rather than to a marketing bundle. Panels are ordered during your consultation; the panel price is your only lab cost.
  3. You stop by a Texas Quest site for the draw. The draw carries no separate charge; it has been part of the panel price from the start. A few of the core tests are fasting measurements (the fasting lipid panel and fasting insulin among them), and your provider covers the prep details with you at the consult, before you ever schedule the draw.
  4. Your provider goes through the results with you the moment the lab sends them back. A copy also arrives to you from Quest itself, so your numbers never sit locked inside anyone’s portal, ours included.

One Order, Every Corner of the State

We route each draw through our Quest partnership, and we chose Quest for one reason: coverage. The same lab order works at draw sites across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and the smaller cities of East Texas, so a patient in a two-stoplight town books the same panel, at the same price, with the same provider review, as a patient two blocks from a downtown medical district.

To be plain about what we are and are not: New Genesis Vitality operates no lab, no clinic, and no office anywhere. We are a Texas entity with a registered address in Austin and a 100% online practice; the blood draw at Quest is the only step that happens in person, and you pick where.

The Panel Menu

Every panel starts from the Basic 6: CBC, CMP, lipid panel (fasting), TSH with reflex Free T4, A1C, and fasting insulin. What separates the panels is which markers each one stacks on top of that core, matched to the question it is built to answer. Every figure below is the whole cost: flat, cash-pay, with the Quest draw and the provider review built in.

Panel Tier Price Tests Adds beyond the Basic 6
Basic Panel (Foundation Reset) Standard $99 6 The Basic 6 itself
Metabolic Engine Standard $139 8 Glucose, CRP
Performance & Lean Muscle Basic $249 13 Total/Free Testosterone, Estradiol, LH, FSH, DHEA-S, Cortisol (AM), Prolactin
Performance & Lean Muscle Gold $449 14 The above plus IGF-1
Recovery Peptides Standard $199 10 CRP, ESR, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12
Strength Protocol Gold $399 7 IGF-1
Recovery & Mitochondrial Gold $199 10 CRP, ESR, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12
Immunity Protocol Gold $199 9 CRP, ESR, ANA
Sexual Health Standard $199 10 Total/Free Testosterone, Estradiol, LH, FSH
Neurocognitive Basic $269 12 Vitamin B12/Folate, Vitamin D, RPR/VDRL, ESR, CRP, Homocysteine
Neurocognitive Gold $1,600 14 The above plus P-Tau 217, ApoE Genotype

The table rewards a slow read. The $99 entry point is printed once, but the Strength Protocol, Recovery & Mitochondrial, and Immunity Protocol lines all begin there: each of their Basic tiers orders the same six tests as the Foundation Reset, so repeating that row under three more names would make one panel look like four. Notice, too, that a Gold panel can carry a higher price than a standard panel with more tests on it. That is the assays talking, not the length of the list: the Gold tiers add advanced assays such as IGF-1, which carry a higher lab cost, and a handful of specialized measurements can cost the lab more than a dozen routine ones. As for the two additions in the Neurocognitive Gold row, P-Tau 217 and ApoE genotype are laboratory measurements and only that: your provider can explain what markers like these do and do not measure, most patients have no reason to order this tier, and yours will say so if that is true for you. Whichever row you are weighing, the final marker list and its availability get confirmed with your provider at the consultation; ordering and interpretation both stay in clinical hands.

The Texas Bench: Six Licensed Providers

Texas is where our roster runs deepest. Six licensed providers treat Texas patients, and under our model, our physicians review their own patients’ panels while our nurse practitioners review theirs, so the person interpreting your labs is the person treating you.

  • Brad Wasson, DO: Board-Certified Family Medicine, Longevity Specialist, the medical reviewer of this page and our labs lead.
  • Jeff Beaty, DO: Board-Certified Emergency Medicine, Certified in Peptide Medicine.
  • Jeffrey McWilliams, MD: Board-Certified Emergency Medicine.
  • Keith Kirbow, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC: dual-board-certified nurse practitioner in family practice and psychiatry, anchoring our mind-body lane.
  • Jeni Baker, MD: Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, The Women’s Vitality Physician, leading women’s wellness and hormone optimization care for Texas patients.
  • Jean Davi Pellegalle, APRN, MSN, FNP-C: nurse practitioner focused exclusively on weight loss services for Texas patients.

Several of them are your neighbors. Dr. Wasson and Dr. Beaty make their homes in the DFW metroplex, while Kirbow, McWilliams, and Pellegalle are East Texans; all care is delivered by video, with no office and no in-person visits, but the clinicians reading Texas lab work know the state because they live in it. The full picture of our Texas practice is on our Texas telehealth page.

Looking for Peptide Lab Testing in Texas?

Peptide-therapy evaluations here begin with measurement, not enthusiasm. The panel matched to that starting point is Recovery Peptides ($199, 10 tests), which layers CRP, ESR, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B12 onto the Basic 6, the markers a clinician wants on the table before any recovery-focused protocol is even discussed. There is no standalone peptide-testing storefront here, and no panel ships without a clinician attached, on purpose. How we approach the category as medicine is laid out on our online peptide therapy page.

Bring the Labs You Already Have

Recent blood work keeps its value here no matter who ordered it. Maybe your last physical included a panel, or a hospital stay did, or an employer wellness screening; carry those numbers into the consult and your provider builds around them, ordering nothing that current results already cover, so no measurement gets paid for twice. The practice is cash-pay throughout, which keeps insurers, authorizations, and claims out of the process entirely; visit fees are published in one place, on our pricing page, and if you want the reasoning that shaped this menu in the first place, our national lab testing page walks through it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does New Genesis Vitality have a lab location or office in Dallas, Houston, or Austin?

No. We operate no lab, clinic, or office in any city; New Genesis Vitality is a 100% online, Texas-registered practice, and every visit happens by video. What we do have in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and across East Texas is Quest coverage: your provider’s lab order works at whichever Quest draw site you choose, and beyond that one stop for the draw, nothing in your care requires leaving home.

Can a Texas telehealth provider order blood work without seeing me in person?

Yes. Telehealth is an established, regulated way to receive medical care in Texas, and our physicians answer to the Texas Medical Board like any others. Your provider evaluates you by video, places the lab order during that visit, and the order is honored at Quest draw sites across Texas. You are never asked to visit an office, because there is no office; the draw itself is the single in-person moment.

How does peptide lab testing work in Texas?

It starts with a telehealth consultation, not a checkout page. When a Texas patient is being evaluated for peptide therapy, the panel that fits that evaluation is Recovery Peptides, $199 for 10 tests, adding inflammation and vitamin markers to the metabolic core. The Quest draw is included in that price, and your provider reviews the results with you before any protocol conversation goes further.

Why does a seven-test Gold panel cost more than a thirteen-test standard panel?

Because lab pricing follows the assays, not the test count. The Gold tiers add advanced assays such as IGF-1, which carry a higher lab cost, so the seven-test Strength Protocol Gold at $399 sits above the thirteen-test Performance & Lean Muscle standard panel at $249. We would rather show you the honest reason than round the menu into something tidier.

What happens if my Texas results show something New Genesis Vitality does not treat?

Your provider tells you that in plain language and points you toward the right kind of care, whether that is your primary care physician or a specialist. We do not stretch our scope to keep a finding in-house. And because Quest sends your results directly to you as well, you carry your full numbers into whatever care comes next.

Your Numbers Travel Well

Wherever your Texas week takes you, the sequence is the same: one video consult, one Quest stop, one provider explaining what your biology is actually doing.
