Women’s Sexual Wellness in Florida: A Medical Answer, Not a Brush-Off

Maybe you have already tried to ask. A lot of women have: the question saved for the last two minutes of an appointment, half-raised, met with a nod toward age, or stress, or a printout, and never picked up again. So the question went back where it came from, and the change it was about stayed.

Here is the premise of this page, stated plainly. A shift in desire, arousal, or comfort through midlife is common, it usually has measurable contributors, and it earns a physician’s full attention in its own right, not a slot in the last two minutes of someone else’s agenda. At New Genesis Vitality, this is the agenda. It is a medical conversation, we treat it like one, and for our Florida patients it happens with a physician whose practice centers on exactly this territory.

No honest clinician promises you the body of ten years ago, and neither will we. What you get instead is the question taken seriously the first time you ask it, labs that show what actually shifted, and care shaped by those findings rather than by an assumption about them.

What Is Actually Happening in Your Body

Sexual wellness is not a single switch, and in midlife it rarely has a single cause. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists describes changes in women’s sexual desire and response as common and shaped by hormonal, physical, emotional, and relationship factors at once. The Menopause Society, for its part, traces how the estrogen decline of perimenopause and menopause can reach into genitourinary comfort and arousal alongside the sleep, mood, and energy shifts women are more often warned about.

That tangle of contributors is exactly why measurement beats assumption. Hormone levels, thyroid function, sleep debt, medications, mood, and stress can each affect desire and comfort, and they overlap. A plan built on a guess about which one is yours can aim at the wrong problem for months. A plan built on your labs and a real history starts from what is true for you.

What a Women’s Sexual Wellness Program Actually Means

Here, it means a physician-guided medical evaluation: comprehensive lab testing to see how your hormones and related systems have changed, then a private consultation with a Florida-licensed physician, then an individualized plan built from your results where one is medically appropriate. It is not a spa service, a product, or a promised outcome. Measurement first, a discreet medical conversation second, a plan matched to your biology third, reviewed by a physician, not an algorithm.

How the Program Works

Step 1: Comprehensive Lab Work

Everything begins with labs, because desire and comfort are downstream of systems you can measure. Our Labs-First Methodology often draws on our Sexual Health panel, which measures markers such as your sex-hormone levels alongside the foundational thyroid and metabolic markers that shape energy and mood. The draw happens at whichever Florida Quest location suits you, you receive your raw results directly from Quest, and your physician reads them with you; the panel price includes the draw and that review. The Florida lab menu lives on our Florida lab testing page.

Step 2: A Private Consultation With Your Physician

You meet one-on-one, on video, with Dr. Jeni Baker, who is licensed in Florida. It is a conversation, not a checkout flow: your history, your symptoms, your sleep and stress, your medications, what you have already tried. Initial visits run about 30 minutes, follow-ups about 15, with evening and weekend slots, all from home. And it is discreet by structure, not just by promise: this is cash-pay care, which leaves no insurance record of the visit.

Step 3: A Personalized Plan

From your labs and your consultation, Dr. Baker builds a plan for your biology: an individualized medical decision made with you, never a preset offer, never a promise about how you will feel. Hormone optimization is one care area she may explore with you where it is medically appropriate. You are never handed a plan and left alone with it.

Step 4: Ongoing Adjustment

Bodies change and plans follow. Follow-ups put fresh labs beside your lived experience, and your physician adjusts where the evidence says to. Timelines come as clinical answers, not marketing ones.

The whole cost, before you start: $199 for the initial consultation, $149 for follow-ups. Lab panels start at $99, and the panel your physician orders is your only lab cost. Medication enters only if it is prescribed and right for you, billed separately at pass-through pharmacy pricing and quoted to you before anything is filled. Cash-pay, no hidden fees, superbills available for HSA/FSA reimbursement; details on our pricing page. If you have recent labs, bring them and skip the cost of re-testing.

Your Physician in Florida

This care is provided for our Florida patients by Jeni Baker, MD, Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and The Women’s Vitality Physician, whose work centers on helping women feel strong, balanced, and confident through every stage of life. Dr. Baker is licensed in Florida and sees Florida patients entirely online, from the first labs-first consultation through every follow-up.

She practices within New Genesis Vitality, US Board-Certified Physicians and Practitioners with over 80 years of combined experience; everything available to Florida patients is on our Florida telehealth page. If your questions run toward weight and metabolism through menopause, our menopause weight loss page for Florida covers that ground, and if you want the wider hormonal picture first, start with our hormone optimization page for Florida: the same physician, the same labs-first method, a broader lens.

Asked and Actually Heard

For many women the hardest part has not been the change itself; it has been getting anyone to treat the question as medicine. Being asked the right questions, and listened to past the second sentence, is where an accurate plan comes from. You keep the agency. Your physician brings the measurements, the medicine where it is appropriate, and the willingness to adjust as you go. (Individual results vary; see sitewide results disclaimer block.)

Questions Florida Women Ask Us

Is this care available where I live in Florida, and who provides it?

Yes: this is telehealth, so it reaches every corner of Florida, from the Panhandle to the Keys. The program is provided by Dr. Jeni Baker, MD, Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and The Women’s Vitality Physician, who is licensed in Florida. Visits happen by video from home, and lab draws are handled at a Florida Quest location near you.

Will anyone else know I’m being seen for this?

Your care is confidential medical care, and the practice’s structure adds a layer many women value: New Genesis Vitality is cash-pay, so no claim is filed and no insurance record of the visit is created. Your raw lab results go directly to you from Quest, your visits happen from home, and what you choose to share, and with whom, stays your decision.

I’ve brought this up with doctors before and it went nowhere. Why would this be different?

Because here it is the appointment, not a footnote to one. The visit is built around this question: comprehensive labs first, then a private consultation with a physician whose practice centers on women’s health in midlife, with time reserved to take a real history. You will not be talked past, rushed, or handed a generic printout; the plan, if there is one, is built from your results.

Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to book?

No. You can book directly online: no referral, no prior workup, no diagnosis required. If you do have previous lab results or notes, bring them; recent usable bloodwork can spare you the cost of re-testing. The evaluation itself starts fresh regardless, with your labs and your history read together by your physician.

Is this separate from menopause weight care, or the same program?

They are neighboring programs with the same labs-first method. If your central concern is desire, arousal, or comfort, this is your starting point; if it is weight and metabolism through the menopause transition, our Florida menopause weight loss program goes deeper there. Dr. Baker can also tell you, from your labs and history, which door makes more sense to walk through first, and moving between them later is simple, because the measurements travel with you.

Ready When You Are

This is a normal thing to ask a doctor about, and it deserves a physician’s full attention rather than a product or a shrug. Some of what changed is measurable; part of what is measurable can be addressed; the only way to know which is which is to look, carefully and privately.

No pressure, no countdown timer. When you are ready, book a consultation with Dr. Baker in Florida. Bring your questions and any recent labs. Both will be used.
